About the Course Leader:

Jaswinder Singh Ahluwalia, is an ex-investment banker with 30 years experience behind him. He holds an (ACIS) 1975, LL.B (Hons) 1985 from the University of London and CLP (Malaya) 1987. He was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 1989 and he is in legal practice.

He has wide experience in all areas of banking. From 1975-2005 (30 years), he served in a leading comemrcial bank and a merchant bank as officer raising to Company Secretary and Legal Adviser. His responsibilities included managing banking and lending affairs, compliance with regulatory requirements and advising the Board and senior management.

More specifically he was involved in the design and delivery of the merchant banks corporate advisory and lending services to clients, corporate lending bank debt restructuring proposals, prospectuses, submissions to the Securities Commission and other regulatory bodies for approval.

He has practical hands on experience of 30 years in commercial and merchant banking transactions, a personal interest in corporate restructuring of troubled bank credits. Identified as eminently suitable he has agreed to share his knowledge and experience and lead this workshop.
